The main housing crisis exists not just through Vancouver but so many cities in Canada and North America, so we want to see further projects like this come to market. We would like to close the gap between ladies and their housing needs, and see great deal projects coming to market that invest women in positions of deficiency of. ”

Carla Busnardo, a board affiliate with Soroptimist International of Vancouver, shares Guerrera’s sentiments and reveals that women are empowered when they surely have control over their lives, including where they live.

“Holding a lease in their name purely empowers women economically but recommends stability and families in creating financial independence and housing alarm, ” she said. “This is usually an innovative project that we are proposing in the Broadway Corridor; it will develop community for working, senior and in addition women-led families where they can show support to one another, creating a stable and balanced environment for them to live in. ”
